Keto and intermittent are two popular diet trends among the weight watchers. Both are based on different approaches but have been vouched for their effective and successful weight loss results. Looking at the growing trend of the same, we tried to find out how safe it is to follow keto and intermittent together.
In keto diet, you have to restrict your carb intake and increase fat consumption. It is a high-fat, medium-protein and extremely low-carb diet. This diet recommends to eat more fat and limit carb intake, which forces the body to change its source of energy. This way the body reaches a phase of ketosis where it starts to produce ketones from fat deposited in the liver and use them as the chief source of energy instead of carbs. When the body starts to use fat for energy, you automatically start losing weight.
Intermittent fasting is not actually a diet. It is a way of living, where you have to abstain yourself from having any kind of food for a fixed interval. There are different kinds of intermittent fasting. It all depends on convenience and comfort level. The fasting window can vary from 14 to 16 hours.
