Lisa Vanderpump: I Quit Real Housewives Because I Hate Nasty Bishes!
While Lisa Vanderpump has talked s–t about her former castmates in her own special way, she’s been lerry of delving too deeply into why she quit.
Until now, that is.
In a new interview, Lisa discusses her departure from the franchise, saying: “I don’t have room in my life for nastiness.”
In a new interview with People, Lisa Vanderpump opens up for the first time about leaving the Real Housewives franchise.
“I had a great time on Housewives,” she begins.
“But to have negativity during a time in my life when I needed to try to be positive … I decided it was over,” Lisa explains.
Naturally, she is referring to the tragic death by suicide of her brother just months before the season.
“I shouldn’t have even committed to do that season,” Lisa now acknowledges.
“If I had had my choice, I would have just wallowed in grief,” she expresses.
Lisa admits: “I wasn’t ready.”
That is a very reasonable response to the sudden death of a sibling. Diving back in to your life can cause unintended consequences.
Another factor in her decision to drop from the show, of course, was Puppygate.
“I’ve been in a position where the whole cast has been against me before,” Lisa acknowledges.
“But this time, our foundation was taking a bashing from the women,” she accuses.
Lisa affirms: “And it didn’t deserve it.”
