Letitia Wright Has Been Pushing for an All-Female Marvel Movie
Letitia Wright first delighted Marvel fans as the fierce and intelligent Shuri in Black Panther. Wright later appeared as Shuri in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It is during the latter movie that Wright became inspired to push for an all-female Marvel production.

What inspired Letitia Wright to support an all-female Marvel movie?
According to Harper’s Bazaar, filming an epic scene in Avengers: Endgame got Wright talking about all the powerful Marvel women. In this unforgettable battle scene, many female Marvel characters come together to protect Peter Parker/Spider-Man.The scene is empowering and exciting, and Wright described it as “a beautiful moment.” So it’s easy to understand why filming it would be inspirational.
According to the actress, she and her costars “spent most of the time trying to convince the producers that we should get an all-female Marvel film.”
“After every take we’d be like ‘Did you see that? We don’t need the guys!’” she told Harper’s Bazaar.
Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson both support the idea of a female-dominated cast. “It is something that we’re really passionate about and we love and I feel like if enough people out in the world talk about how much they want it, maybe it’ll happen,” Larson told Variety.
Johansson shared similar sentiments in a separate Variety interview. “That group of actresses is so incredibly powerful and when they come together, it’s explosive and unstoppable,” she said. “So yes, I’m pushing for [an all-female Marvel movie].”
