“I am glad that people still want to see me and love me” – Sanjay Kapoor
Sanjay Kapoor made his debut in the film Prem opposite Tabu. He tasted success overnight after the release of the film which was directed by Satish Kaushik. The actor completed 26 years in Bollywood and he recently caught up for a chat with a leading daily about how things have evolved for him over the years. The actor went on to say that after all these years, his hard work seems to be finally paying off. He said, “It has been a long time but I still remember the first shot that I gave was for the song, ‘Aati Nahi..’; this was even before 1995. I am moving on from movies to OTT platforms, which is all the rage today. Obviously, there have been a lot of hurdles but it was a great journey and I am glad that people still want to see me and love me, and I got to do some good work. It feels good that all my hard work is finally paying off.”
Ask him about who he would like to cast in the remake of his debut film Prem, if it’s ever made, and he says, “ Ranbir Kapoor will be the perfect choice to play my role. He is a good actor and Deepika Padukone would be a great choice to play Tabu’s character.” We congratulate the actor on completing 26 years in the world of showbiz.
