Celebrity Chef Giada De Laurentiis Sells Los Angeles Home for $7 Million
Television chef Giada De Laurentiis sold her Los Angeles home for $7 million this Monday via a pocket listing, Mansion Global has learned.
Located in the coastal neighborhood of Pacific Palisades in the Westside of Los Angeles, the contemporary home is within walking distance of the village and boasts views of the Potrero Canyon, according to a statement provided by Compass.
Built in 2015, the home spans 6,500 square feet and features five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, including a master suite. Listing records show that the celebrity chef paid $6.9 million for it in January 2016.
“She wanted to downsize just for her and her daughter. She felt that it belonged to a family who also likes to entertain,” said Smith Cho, the listing agent with Compass.
Ms. De Laurentiis, 49, rose to fame with her Food Network shows such as “Everyday Italian” and “Giada At Home.” She has been frequently nominated for Emmy Awards for her cooking shows and won for Outstanding Lifestyle Host in 2008. In addition to TV appearances, she also owns Italian restaurants in Las Vegas and Baltimore.
The kitchen details are “spectacular,” Ms. Cho said.
“The island is 24-foot long, and it’s kept with meticulous attention.”
The main floor, which is equipped with a dual-facing fireplace in the living room, is filled with light from floor-to-ceiling windows, images provided by the brokerage show.
