Among the many masterpieces created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this film stands out due to Ranveer Singh’s outstanding performance. The tales about the beauty of Mewari Queen Padmavati, wife of Raja Ratan Singh of Chittor, are widespread. But when an Afghan king, Alauddin Khilji, hears them, he wants to marry her and is ready to go to battle for it. This film also chronicles the ancient ritual of jauhar.
