The only way to keep yourself entertained through this lockdown is to keep a track of all the new shows and movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. This week, there are quite a few exciting titles coming our way. The Chris Hemsworth-starrer Extraction, which also features some Bollywood actors, is all set to join the list of the newly released movies on Netflix. Besides that, we shall also see stand-up comedian Kanan Gill bring forth his brand new one-hour stand-up special. Amazon Prime Video will also have two big releases in the form of Joker and Bhoot Part One: Haunted Ship. There are some new international titles coming to Disney+ Hotstar too, so keep an eye out for that as well.

1. AFTER LIFE: SEASON 2 – NETFLIX

The second season of After Life is set to join the new shows and movies on Netflix later this week. This comedy-drama featuring Ricky Gervais in the lead tells the story of a local newspaper journalist whose life turns upside down after his wife’s death from Cancer.

Probably among the most-awaited movies on Netflix is Extraction. Featuring Chris Hemsworth, Pankaj Tripathi and Randeep Hooda, this series tells the story of a fearless black market mercenary who has nothing to lose. His life takes a turn when his skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. This original film has been shot in Dhaka for the most part and is co-produced by Russo Brothers of Avengers fame. It also features David Harbour (of Stranger Things fame) and Manoj Bajpayee in pivotal roles.

5. JOKER – AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

Playing one of the most anticipated characters of 2019, Jaoquin Phoenix returned as a lead character after a long time with this movie. He also underwent a phenomenal body transformation for this role. The movie was an absolute masterpiece and it was all thanks to the exceptionally brilliant characterisation and acting by Joaquin Phoenix. Unsurprisingly, the actor bagged the award for the Best Actor at the Oscars, which is all the more reason for you to watch the film. The film has finally made its way to streaming platforms. If you have to pick one among all the shows and movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar, then let it be this one.
